Putiing on a new 4 into 1. Can not get the rear to line up......any suggestions.

I've got a 1/4"gap and it's really close to the heat shield.....

Make sure that the gaskets are in the cyl head ports before all this begins. I always just start the nuts, leaving everything loose, and then work to get the pipes all inserted well-into their respective locations, and start to finger-tighten the nuts & bolts. As you get the nuts/bolts/screws snug, keep getting everything aligned properly, until you can torque the fasteners to final spec. After a coupe heat-cool cycles, check the tightness of the fastens.
