hi guys,

I'm from singapore and this is my first post in this forum. jus wanna share my work and get some feedback from the experienced as to what to expect from this configuration.

i made some headers over the past 3 weeks.. cut up some old arrow headers i found in a junkyard and reused the bends and connections. i'm hoping to get low-mid range power and not so much of top end.. which is why i chose to use smaller diameter headers

the configurations are 4-2-1 using a tri-y collector. will be looking at an akrapovic slipon for the muffler... those things are really costly lol... needa save up to get them.

ok. all comments welcomed. pls also let me know the experiences with a 4-2-1 config.. Thank you.

Careful, Jon Cornell may steal your design and call it his own. The worlds next most powerful set up! That was for you 4gasem. Hey, I don't know what you do for a living but that looks pretty dang good for a prototype out of junk parts. Get that canister off ebay and save yourself a ton o cash. I don't think there is a way to know how it works until you fire that mother up and let er rip. Keep it up and thanks for the great photos!:clapping:

awesome and impressive work. What size tubing did you use for the primary tubes and for the collector? You never know, this may be the most powerful vmax exhaust ever. NICE WORK! Once you get it all together you need to get a video posted with some sound:punk:

all comments welcomed

1. I really hope it works well

2. Clean your workshop, it looks like a train wreck:biglaugh: kidding of course

x-iled, that's some very nice custom work there - definitely would love to hear your set up when there finished up.

Mike

Very nice work!! Make sure you can duplicate them. I'm sure someone will want you to build more.

hi there,

i used the arrow headers which had a interior diameter of 34mm.. which was roughly the same as our stock pipes. i also made anti reversion cones to be welded to the headers . those were 38mm holes tapered to a 34mm hole to connect to the arrow headers.

these headers gradually expand until a 36mm ID tube which is about 1.5inches OD.. i dont have the measurements of the collectors off hand... but i;m guessing it should be ard 1.75" - 2"... my end pipe has a diameter of 2.25" so i'm jus makeing a rough estimation based on that.

thank you! i'm itching to hear the set up with the akrapovic pipes as well..

wow.. lol.. dun know if i can ever rebuild this... but.. now i kow why those exhaust making compaines charge sky high prices...it was really really time consuming and all the wastage form the trial and error fitments.. lol

thanks!! i'm an aviation firefighter. but yeah.. quite happy that i made some junk work. lol

hi there, i hope to get some help here. is anyone able to tell me the engine numbering on our bikes? which is cylinder 1, 2,3 and 4.. i know the firing sequence is 1,3,2,4.. Thanks

ahh ok.. my setup connects 1&3, 2&4 into their individual collectors which then merges together in the final collector. so am i connecting right or does it not matter? also, is this considered a sequential pairing of the headers?

lol.. i understand its abit too late to ask thse questions but.. well.. its good for info so in future i can make upgrades to it.

did I miss something whos idea did he steal was it the non-stamped collector or the keeping the center stand trick. I dont know so 1 person had a bad deal with him. so everyone else has to drag it out? I ve dealt with Sean & Jon on the phone & both have helped me as much as they can for being on the phone. I must be special Jon called me to see how shit was going. both guys and everyone else including Evolution have the VMAX on there mind. either you like them or you dont. I think a 4-2 pipe looks like shit & everyone knows they dont make as much power but do I chime in & say that everytime someone says dales or marks? I dont even know who this is directed to but if it creates feelings inside you good if not thats OK too.

oh ya the pipe looks great. I wish I had that much spare time in my hands. +1 on the update thing
& ya its a 4-1 you know its going to sound great

hi guys... sorry i had not updated this thread lol.. but i havent rode it with the pipes yet... i went on to some other mods.. been really busy with some rear end mods... fabricated a single sided swingarm with 8 inch extensions to take a 240 rear tire... going for a completely different makeover for the bike... haha..

That is a very sweet exhaust setup! Why not post that bike project up on the Fabrication, CNC & Projects. So you can look back and see what you did and when. We like pictures! We can steal your ideas :biglaugh: ... Just kidding.
