How do you carry a passenger helmet?

What’s the best way to strap a passenger helmet to the rear seat when riding to meet someone who will be a passenger?

I would use an elastic net.

There used to be something called a helmet bra, which was in appearance similar to 1/2 of a woman's bra it was a mesh net with straps to strap it to the seat and it held the helmet very securely

You can make a helmet holder using duct tape put together folded over a couple of appropriately sized bungee cords.

Decades ago I found out the hard way that the frame locks for securing your helmet d-rings are not properly placed for carrying a helmet while in motion without damage.
