how do you remove the stock windshield?

my friend said i should try the bike without that little windshield but i can't figure how it comes off the turn signals. i see the screws holding the shield in but i wanted to remove everything.

You have to loosen the turn signals. They are what actually hold it in place

I think it's a 17mm oopen end wrench just fits. I've gotten pretty good at removing them. Now with a Memphis Shades Bullitt fairing and after market signals ( on a home made stem ) it's actuall easier to remove them. Smaller bolt :biglaugh:

Remove the headlight bucket and you have room to get to the 17 mm turn signal nuts
