Some of those aftermarket bumpers are the biggest rip offs I've ever seen. Often well over a grand for a bent piece of tube steel, and often times they're made out of questionable quality steel. My friend has a spendy bumper on his wrangler and I swear a swift kick would put a dent in it. An extremely minor fender bender that barely pushed in a sheet metal panel put a good 4" long crease in the tube.....weak stuff.

Looks nice, and it sure looks durable!

I made those with 1/4 inch thick tube and 1/2 inch bar stock. I also work to cheap but theres not alot of guys that would pay what those bumpers should cost and the monkey HAS to eat so I get what i can.

Thats bad ass! Feels good to do something yourself BETTER than you can buy huh.
Is that bed liner spayed on there? We might be related.

Nice work Rick!! :punk:

How many times did you whack your shins into that dropped trailer hitch while you were working on it? None, I bet you removed it!!! :biglaugh:

It is! You like? I did the bed and rear bumper in black. I get the looks, but man does it go through some rough stuff. No scratches, No waxing, I hose it off when muddy and I fixed all the little dings and chips with caulk before I sprayed it. Total cost...Around $480. Took two days. I replaced the side panel rubber and one was still on order as you can see in the one pic. Its been installed.

Yep, rhino liner is the shit! We did my sons Tracker interior. The carpet was crap anyway, so we put a liner inside. Super easy to clean, just hose it out and open the drain plugs in the floor and let her drain! Cost 70 bucks.
