Great weather for riding this weekend :bang head:, And I spent most of the weekend under a 47 ford. I fixed the frame the way it should have been in the first place. Its a ratrod that my uncle owns,he bought it as was (see before pic) and I boxed it and did the best I could with the bed on the truck.Took way longer then I though it would and since it was for a relative its prolly going to be for next to nothing, but whatever it pays its all going to the MONKEY!

Boxed an "C"d. That think is gonna outlast all of us. That's the problem when people know you can weld. You get busy! Nice work but it takes away time from a Dragmaxxer design. Thanks for sharing. I had the store bought front bumper just like it on the wifes new CJ. Saved her tons of body work repairs!

Patrick, I lost it ! Ive been looking here and there and I cant find the prototype !,but my plate is starting to empty out a little so after thunder I'll "really" look for it. My uncle has been wanting me to do this for a while, my neighbor came over yesterday with a "problem" took bout 3/4 of an hour to fab up what he needed(freebe). and I had two can you fix this calls while I was under the 47 .(one was a yes the other was a polite are you fuckin serious?)

Latest job in the shop, just goes to show you cant judge a book by its cover. Im fixing A leaky weld on the rear end housing, guys that weld like this should just leave it alone!

Looks like traditional stick welding and he didn't have enough power dialed up.... Doubt that is very strong. Not enough penetration..

Yes it was stick welded, hot enough to burn a hole through the housing on the other side, but the guy just didn't know how to weld

Heat, angle, travel speed, arc gap there's a lot involved to do it right !

NO more leak! but you definitely cant judge this book by its cover. I fired it up today to move it out of the garage...............blown big block, runs way to rich, took ten minutes before it would idle, hard to get in and out of(and Im small ) Auto shifter iffy at best. Yup its pretty but I wouldnt want it!

I have three, stick, mig and tig. I assume your talking about a mig. I have a miller 210 which is more the enough for 1/4 material. I'm sure you could get by with a 175 amp machine. DON'T BUY A WALMART OR HARBOR FRIEGHT welder. I have all millers , Lincoln are a good machine as are Hobart ( made by miller)
Miller used to make a 135 that would suit your needs too but I don't think they make that any more, you would have to find a used one.
