How much Sta Bil for storage

I'm getting ready to put my Vmax up for the winter, I just filled it with gas, the manual says there is 3.9 Gallons capacity. Sta Bil says 1 oz for 5 gallons.

I don't use what most like "Seafoam" so I am going to use Sta Bil, is there anyone who uses Sta Bil in their Vmax over winter and how do you judge how much to put in the take. if 5 gallons takes an oz what does 3.9 gals take.............lol 3/4 oz ??

I just put an ounce in. A little bit more isn't going to hurt it. Make sure you use ethanol free gas too. Even with Stabil, the ethanol in the gas breaks down quickly and plugs the jets in the Gen 1 carbs. You have FI, so it is not as disastrous as it is with carbs.

The station I go to says the pump that has 91 octane is the pure gas and that is what I use. 1 oz sounds good and that is what I will go with.

I use the 2 ounces of Stabil-Marine Ethanol treatment because there isn't any non-ethanol fuel close by that I know of.

I'll use 1 oz as Gary suggested , I know I have pure gas. You can go here and check out your area, you can even get an app for your smartphone so that no matter where you are you can always find pure gas. The STA- BIL I got is for storage, so I think 1 oz is cloest to what it says on the bottle and on the website.

I store 32 gallons of Non Ethanol for up to a year for Emergencies and the vehicles that don't get driven a lot. About 2 oz ( actually 50 ML.) of Stabil Red for 5 Gallons. Hasn't failed me yet. Careful, you can get too much stabilizer. That could cause trouble too. Measure it.....

Good catch, I just looked on the bottle and it does say 1 oz per 5 gallons, which is what I use.
I always just do what it says on the bottle.
Also there are a few places that claim to have pure gas here but they are 45 minutes to an hour away which is why I don't bother with it.
