If I don't work out every morning for about 45 min.:
1.Stretching/warming up 5 min.
2.Resistance training 10 min.
3. Running 30 min.
It took me about 5 years to find perfect combination of 1/2/3
What is your work out? This is how I could look like...

I dont work out. Remember that nonsense you posted of some mummy finishing a marathon....I am physically active for what I do for a living. I dont want to put more stress on my body. Thats why women live longer. They do no where near the amount of physical work an average man does. Yea...someone has disabilities, they need that exercise. Someone who actually works for a living....doesnt need it.

whatever you do is perfect if you have good blood pressure.

Seems to me that worrying about your blood pressure is enough to raise your blood pressure. Anyway, I am here for a good time, not a long time. Rather die while capable and young than die while incapable and decrepit. Aortic blow out. Loss of consciousness in 2 minutes. Dead 2 minutes after. Quick and no coming back from that.

I dont want to live into the, "crapping my diaper eating oatmeal" years. Does not sound like a fulfilling life or a dignified life.

200 g of whey protein isolate will strengthen your aorta wall. Protein deficiency can weaken everything in your body.

It's ironic that you accuse DV4 of posting nonsense...I assume that you have peer reviewed studies to back up your assertion?
Anyone who has had children and seen their partner go through pregnancy, give birth, raise the children and still run the house and put the food on the table will know that they have considerable more stamina and mental strength than most men. I concede that men are more muscular but it would seem that in some this is concentrated between their ears.

Someone who actually works for a living....doesn't need it.

'Actually works'.....so sitting in an office counts?...or isn't that work?

I hope you continue to have a good time.
Problem is none of us know when our time will be up and what it will be that gets us.
Our fate may not be the sudden blow out you seem to want.......
Still if you want to continue with the motorcycle equivalent of revving the bollocks off it whilst ignoring oil changes and basic maintenance then go ahead....for however long that may be. 😨

Actually...there are tons of studies to back up women living longer than men. From behavioral studies, to genetic studies, to hormonal studies. This isnt exactly new science.

You want to say about sitting in an office as the only form of work. Infrastructure today is built and maintained predominantly by men. The men who sustains everyday life far outpace the men working in office buildings. So, I think this is a strawman argument with this particular point in my opinion.

Lastly, here in America at least, doctors kill on average 250,000 people a year due to medical malpractice. Its a figure that is never talked about cause here in America, it would destroy a huge lobbying industry. I will take my chances away from doctors than with them. Never see them when you are alive. If you want to see how good they are....go when you are dying. If they cant save your life....well.....you had nothing left to lose anyway.

By the way....I havent been to a hospital in well over 35 years and I have never been vaccinated even with childhood vaccines. I rarely get sick and when the sniffles scared the world into irrational panic....not once did I catch anything remotely close to what the media was scare mongering into people.

Being a retired RN I'll chime in. I have worked almost exclusively in geriatrics and I've cared for many more women than men. I also know that it is statistically true, and likely to be so for the foreseeable future. There are far to many likely factors ranging from physical, psychological, regional, socioeconomic et al to nail it down to a single cause.

A Dr should be chosen like a spouse, if your not totally comfortable with them it's not a go. I of course urge a checkup now and again. Some of the things that can take us down are very treatable, unfortunately many of those things will remain asymptomatic until it is literally too late to do anything but give an expiry date. It is possible to live a full healthy life sans medical attention, but unlikely in the extreme.

If one is apprehensive of Doctors/facilities then there are some absolutely sparking facilities one can travel to. Mayo Clinic is just one example. Here, our regional hosp is nationally know for being just plain bad, but down the street there is a surgical hospital owned by doctors IIRC, consistently offers the best care I've ever seen.

There are places that hire the best and brightest minds, and other places that hire everyone else, if they are lucky enough to find a full staff without hiring travelers. Few things have as much quality range as healthcare facilities and Drs. Just a bit of general blathering, I digress.

I went for check up and a woman, checking my blood pressure, obviously (to me) had high BP. I asked her, she said it was fine. I asked what was it, she said 139/? and doctor told her 139 was fine. I believe that most doctors are idiots, that is why they have same diseases, they treat people from.

Systolic BP of 139 is not great but the nurse or Dr is going to want to consider diastolic pressure (the lower number) and it's relation to the top number, also pulse is a fairly critical piece of the picture. Age, race, weight, family history, current OTC meds and existing comorbidities (Diabetes, obesity et al) will also factor heavily in what is normal for that client. All things being typical, 139 is knocking on the door of HTN (hypertension). It's not going to get a client carted off to the ER, but the nurse will be asking some questions and making some observations.

If the Dr is not an ***** (becoming a Dr is not easy, I'm not sure how any idiots make it through) I believe the issue for some is more being uncaring dicks than idiots. Most doctors truly do care but their approach may not be right for everyone. some facilities value, even require interdisciplinary cooperation where Drs, RNs, dietary and PT/OT all work together to understand and treat clients. Just because a facility or professional is high quality does not make them a match for every client either.

Thankfully we have quite a few reputable websites that rate and grade doctors and facilities from all over, making it easier to find ones that have years of happy clients behind them and how they match up with what types of clients.

If I knew of anyone that was having trouble finding a reputable Dr or a facility I would be more than happy to take some time to research and come up with some quality names close by them. Also I would not rule out seeing a Nurse Practitioner, in my experience many of them bear tremendous talent.

I see doctors as nothing but legalized drug dealers. They dont really "cure" you. They address symptoms with pills that cause side effects that need more pills to counteract that so they give you more pills to constantly address symptoms.

I grapple for the words to articulate my level of agreement with you. You correctly identified a real problem that haunts the professionals that are in it for the right reasons. Luckily the problem is improving with all these rating systems and social networking/WOM. Still one must do due diligence, which is easier now.

Some Drs do "Holistic care" or something similar, treating the whole person instead of just the issue. This recognizes how everything is related. Many look for alternative therapies and hope to use pharmaceutical interventions last. Also many modern Drs and Nurses will usually come up with several interventions that have worked well for others and present them to you, you would then be able to make informed choices and control your own care.

When I was in nursing school they pounded fidelity, honesty and faithful application of the scientific and nursing processes without fail. It should be ingrained in a Nurse to put the client first, even if it puts the nurse at odds w/the Dr or goes against their own interests. Client first, not a gray area. If when your talking with a nurse and Dr team and thats not what your getting then your in the wrong place. The emphasis on client-centric care has really taken off and become an integral part of the nursing process and healthcare in general. Preservation of dignity, privacy and respect have also shot way up the list in recent times. Many medical procedures that terrified us a generation ago are routine and relatively safe now. Many things are far less invasive and risky than before. I'm not guaranteeing a magically fun experience, but one need not dread and avoid it as we once did.

If we approach this in a logical risk vs benefit way, there is very little defense for ignoring ones own health, especially as middle-age looms. I stress again that early detection and treatment of many things (Not just CA) can make the difference. Lots of folks believe in an afterlife, as a shameless science whore I do not. I suggest in the strongest possible terms that we do what we can to improve the quality and quantity of this one.

Perhaps I should have made my question simpler for you. I know that women live longer than men but I was challenging your assertion that this was down to them not 'working as hard' as men. Perhaps you could define 'working as hard' and the evidence to support this men working harder as the main reason for this.

If you read and try to comprehend what I wrote you will see that I'm not suggesting that office environment's are the only form of work but is one for that men do. If men who work in sedentary occupations are 'outpaced' by those who 'maintain the infrastructure' by that do you mean manual workers? Again perhaps you can provide the statistics to prove that.

If you are going to provide proof the you should also quote them accurately.
The article on medical deaths say that it MAY be down to medical negligence, not the it is. So you may want to believe that because it suits your narrative but that doesn't mean the number is fact.

I'm pleased for you that you managed to avoid Covid, it's unfortunate that the many millions who have died or are still suffering the effects did not have the benefit of your superior genetic make up.

Have you considered donating your body to medical science?

Rearrange into a well known phrase or saying:

are out you arse talking your of.

Normally I would try to counter reasoned and logical arguments...but I can't find one that deserves time to do so.

I would sell my body for $10 mln. Excellent condition, low miles, perfectly working, well taken care of. They can have it, when I die around age of 150-180... 💪 :D

Women are more idle than men. This is why they dont work in manual labor industries. Just like an engine at idle. No stress. Engine under load is under stress. The more you work and stress and engine...just like a human body, it will fail sooner. The one link you openly dismissed, shows where men are dying while working. Hopefully this puts it in better perspective. Since you are dismissive of anything I link, I wont bother anymore. And there actually are studies of men suffering deficiency issues while working in office settings. Mostly vitamin deficiencies. Again, why post a link when you will dismiss it?

As for the kid argument....If the stress was really that bad....why are they having so many of them? Stress cant be that bad if some women are breeding like dogs. I honestly cant find a single statistic of one woman dying because she was a house wife raising the kids.

As for the medical malpractice deaths....I do realize that you are in the UK and I, in the USA. Two totally different systems. I can see why you dont understand the links and why its important. The 250K per year figure has been pretty consistent for decades. So, that particular article may or may not be telling the whole truth. The CDC(The US government that monitors deaths and such) has put these numbers out for decades and is, in the US, a pretty much uncontested number.

As for the COVID nonsense, I think this was touched upon before. But to reiterate.....As of today....world wide infections....528 million out of 7.94 BILLION people. Worldwide deaths 6.28 million.

Dying from the sniffles....0.07% worldwide.
Catching the sniffles....6.64% worldwide. Roughly 93% of the world shares my superior genetic make up. No I wont donate anything to science. DNR, DNI, my cremation is already prepaid. I accept the inevitable.

Comorbidities are the reason people are allegedly dying. Fat. Sick. Old. Dying. The ones who succumbed. And did this REALLY kill those people? Laws of averages state no. No more than a guy shot in the head died of COVID.

I actually like oatmeal, as long as there is a bunch of butter and brown sugar in it

Very naive idea, that junk eaters will stay healthy until they die in their sleep. Bad diet leads to high blood pressure, which in turn leads to many diseases and impotence. Many articles name high blood pressure as #1 reason of impotence.

Back in the First Responder/Rescue Squad days the general rule of thumb was a systolic BP of 100 + the patients age, while not being considered marathon runner level, was sufficient to support life.

I am trying to get 40 years younger , so dead/not dead diagnosing is not good enough for me... :D 💪 If 95% of people of my age have BP over 120/80, it doesn't mean their BP is normal.

I normally run 125/70 ish but when heading to town I sweat profusely, shiver, bristling hair, audibly (to me) throbbing ears before I even get there. I can crack 150 just with the dread of going to town without actually going. I know my BP is off the charts when I can see stars (and not much else) and hear that crushing hiss in the center of my brain, the HA aura, all the fun stuff that goes with dragging my misanthropic introverted *** to town.

Luckily responders/caregivers understand that vitals will likely be elevated when the client is not having the best of times.
