But knowing something about turbines from having spent time around them in aircraft...they are big ol' vacuum cleaners...and if they suck in some li'l insignificant POS into the intake, they often self destruct...I sure wouldn't wanna be sittin' on one when it does!

I haven't yet listened to the vid...but heard Leno once talking about having a guy in a very expensive cage of some sort, got too close to him at a stoplight, and it melted a substancial amount of plastic parts on the underside of the rude-dude's front end. That in itself, would make all the bux it costs, worth it for me!

I've seen that video before and I agree, that thing is ultra-cool and certainly one of a kind that *WILL* get you noticed everytime!!! :coolgleamA:

There's nothing more sexy than hearing the turbine spool during startup. It's like it's saying, "You have no idea what I'm capable of, now get the f**k out of the way- I *AM* badass!!"

Philthy, I heard that story too! If I remember right I also heard it gets like 5 miles per gallon.

It was someone who was trying to get a closer look at the bike. Some guy in a Lexus, I think. He got too close and the exhaust melted his bumper. Apparently Jay has a sign on the back advising people to keep a safe distance behind him. :biglaugh:
