Hi all,
I'm the current proud owner of a 1986 Vmax, which I got in a non-functional condition from my uncle. I've since then replaced the Hindle 4-1 exhaust with an original one, since I like my hearing. It's currently non-functional again due to a bad starter relay, but this is an easy fix when I can find one.
I started riding in 2018 on a 2007 Suzuki GS500F, which is still my daily. My third bike, and actual project, is a 1977 Suzuki GS750 which needs a hone and new pistons. Before the Vmax I rode a 2006 BMW GS1200 Adventure, which has the most boring engine I've ever touched, and even decided to release a valve when accelerating to 120 km/h (about 75mph), destroying one of the cylinders.
My current car is a 1997 Subaru Justy GX, which has a very similar character to the GS500F. Before that, I drove a 2003 Volvo V70 T5, a 250Hp (stock) wagon, which has a more similar feel to the Vmax. It pulls quite hard from idle, and keeps pulling harder until you meet a certain RPM, and that starts melting your face.
Hope to find some info, and provide some when I can.
Nice to meet you all.
Cheers,
