jumps out of 2nd gear

Hi I just purchased a 1997 vmax and it jumps out of 2nd gear evertime I shift into 2nd works fine in 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th any ideas as to what the problem is ?

Sounds like you have the second gear issue which from what I have read is kinda a issue many have encountered. There's plenty of posts on here about that so I would just do a search for 2nd gear issues..

I'm getting to wonder about this 13OO upgrade. 13 is my lucky number , I even have a patch "13" on my jacket, and two zeros OO looks like nice set of ****s :rofl_200:

what do you gain going 13OO?
and what is a ballpark cost of it?

I also had Sean repair my 2nd gear issue by having a complete trans upgrade with 5th gear overdrive, full undercut, new shift forks, shafts, drum. All new seals/gaskets. Adjusted his valves. Installed the HD oiling system too. I couldn't pull off the 1300 upgrade moneywise, that will have to wait for another year.
