What 1/4 mile times can one expect from a stock gen1 Max? no mods, 200lb rider with good skills on the track..........................

vmaxes make all of their good times because of good 0-60s.

if it was your first time at the track i wouldnt be surprised if you were only running 12s

Reality: 11 ish, + or -. So many factors go into a run.

If you want a serious answer you are probably going to get a low 12 to mid 11. A feather weight with excellent skills and prepared bike will get into the 10's but not by much. My best on a bone stocker with crappy tire was 11.40's. I think a decent tire would get me 11.20's.

Twisted, the 123mph shows a 10.90 pass if you can get the 60' down into the 1.6's. Of course chain drive along with a shorter wheel I am betting is another reason for the quicker pass. Might have even had some other work maybe?

I've had 2 separate bone stock 1985's here.

My best times on BOTH of them were 11.27-8 @ 121 & 122mph. I run the OEM Dunlop Qualifiers. I was at or slightly above 200lbs the last time I ran and I believe the track sits at 600-650' above sea level.

Stock mad max motor,stock wheel and tire,150lb rider(me) and 16 psi in rear,hooked better but shook bad on the topend! most other times were 11.3's @ 117-119. some day when time and money permint Ill get better ! oh yeah,I dont have that max anymore,last i knew It was in arizona. had A flaming skull with light up eyes on the rear fender. any one seen it,have it!I had to sell it in 2000

What 60ft times could I expect from a stock Max with good track conditions and lots of practice? And what kind of MPH would I see on average through the traps?

1.60's to 1.80's for the 60'
120mph for 1/4 mile trap, 100mph for 1/8 mile

The best time I ever got out of my 99 model bone stock with the exception of Marks pipes was 11.19 @ 119 mph WITH A 1.69 60 foot & I was 160 lbs at the time. I am a little over on the weight now.LOL
