Keychain scratch the scoops

My trick is to use one of those little detachable keyrings - one half holds just the Max ignition key and its half of the detachable fob (on a small ring), and the other half holds the rest of my keys on a larger ring.
This way, the max key has so little attached it can't scratch anything, and the rest of the keys go in my pocket.

I've never used a key chain on any of my motorcycles. I don't care what it's made of... It'll scratch over time. I've never had any issues with my keys to warrant needing a chain. Plus, if I forget it in the bike (which I do more than I like) it's not as easily seen...

+1. No keychains here. I already have too much **** in my pockets. I don't need a pile of keys too. My wallet goes on top of the gas cap. The paperwork (insurance and registration) goes in the tool pouch.
