Sharky, are you guys on 220 like in Britain? Plugs look the same. I can only imagine what that shop fan does if so- I have the same one that is a 3 speed with a garden spritzer coiled around it and I can't keep in it one spot as it wants to walk away.
 
Blaxmax..yes 240V...yes it does go walkies on anything more than position 1.....meant to be autumn here...still 27' ��

I've parted out my old xjr so mow I have some $$$ and parts.
Kept the headlight,bars and switchgear..
Got a pair of supertrapps to fit to the voodoo 4-2.
Using the powder coated xjr pegs and levers and msking billet rear set mounts.

Taller, swept-back bars, together with rear-set pegs?
I'm sure you must have your reasons, but how comfortable will this riding position geometry be? What is your height?
In any event, your build looks great. Can't wait to see the finished seat, and that secret fuel filler thingy you have mentioned.

I find rearsets more comfortable...takes the weight off my butt..bars are only 5" rise...my xjr had rearsets and 9" high
With 12" shocks I feel more in the bike than on it
 
Slowly there's progress..the fact we've sold the house on a 28 day contract doesn't help.
Ripped out stock tank gauges and fitted blue led digi ones for oil pressure water temp and volts.
Also working on an idea for the fuel pipe..flexy stainless tube with glue lined heat shrink on the outside with tank sealer flowed through inside to line it.

Regarding that fuel filler - I used plumbing and central vacuum fittings to cobble together the filler pipe. PVC plastic (grey or white) resists gasoline, ABS does not.
I don't know about your arrangement, but to connect to the stock tank filler neck, I used an 1 1/2" central vac 45 degree elbow, with a flexible PVC rubber coupling, together with hose clamps.

Finally got the cheapo chinese rad to fit..chopped off the mounts,made new ones and modified the top for clearance for the usd down forks...luckily the ali welder does $$$ jobs at lunch time
 
Rad all fitted up..found a pair of large head 8mm socket cap bolts for lock stops.
Mocked up fuel filler idea..st/st flexy not fuel proof but with glue lined heat shrink extranally and tank liner inside it will be.

A word to the wise -
Before adding auxiliary tanks to both street and touring versions of my bike, I used a piece of gasoline hose (the same as found on gas pumps) to bridge the gap between the tank opening and the filler location.
On the pic of the bike, originally the filler was behind the V Max plate(that used to be hinged), now it's under the plastic chrome cover below the peace sign symbol.
With it behind the plate, fuel filling was a hassle, because of the shallow angle involved. It had to be done slowly, or the gas would back up and spill out.
If you terminate your filler in the location shown, I think you may have the same problem. Raising it up to the level of the grab bar would be much better.
