Several points:
Search online for levers which have a 'V' shape rather than a gentle curve.
Be aware members have had issues with 'fits a VMax,' but they don't.
1] outright non-OEM pattern to the lever shape where it is supposed to fit the contour for the switch pod's cut-out, but it doesn't
2] the lever pin isn't an exact fit (the horizontal pin, not the pivot pin for the lever). It's too-short or too long or the hole is.
Your best bet may be an adjustable lever with an eccentric wheel to permit different reaches to the lever
If you decide that you're going to buy an entire replacement clutch or front brake master cyl, you need a 5/8" bore for OEM brakes or the clutch. Also, be sure they come with the brake switch or the clutch safety switch
