Got to test ride Veronica today with her new levers.
First thing I forgot to mention before is that the switches work.
Overall, much better feel. Easier on the hands. Where it was kinda tiring before, it isn't now.

My only complaint, and it's a bit petty, is that the lever in cross section is square. You can see what I mean in the pics on page 8. It's not a nice curved cross section so it doesn't feel as nice on my poor little fingey wingeys.
I got them in plain (not coated) so I could mod them if need be. So I'm not bothered, I just need to do a bit of work with the dremel to make them perfect.

I had the brake lever adjusted all the way back, and the clutch lever 2 clicks further forward than the brake. It felt pretty darn good, and I had much better control of the bike.
And my vboost is working again, so everything is fine. :punk:

Got mine today, i like the look and feel. These short levers are the same lenght as stock, which is what i wanted. Hopefully I can get them on this weekend and send some pic's and a review.

So the consensus is that the shorty levers are the same length as our stock levers?

I'm in after I figure this one out since they make shorties and long ones.

I ordered a set of 4 finger ones. :hourglass:
Hey Baz,

When you ordered these did you specify the L45/R51 adjusters or just ordered it and they came in perfect? I pulled the pics orginally from them and they were the GEN2 ones, but I told them the adjuster numbers, they sent me the correct pictures.

Like I mentioned in the pm, I hope the long folding are not too much longer than stock, that might look funny. Is it the adjusting part that adds the length?

I just ordered the last set of the 4 finger levers from them just now. I think the folding part is the same lever just with a screw that loosens to make them fold up. Go look at them at http://www.82moto.com/product_display.asp?keyno=279http://www.82moto.com, they are there. I think that you will be fine, just $30 poorer!

i ordered the 'adjustable' ones. i'll let you know when my brother gets 'em!

The other type is the R45 L51 type, which seem to be less common.

It is also possible that this Chinese manufacturer has the correct levers. Their listing seems to avoid the Gen2, the MT-01, and the FJR's like Gamorg has. To me it means that they might be right.

I sent these guys a message too. They don't offer any service and just say that their listings are always right. As such, there is nothing to look at with these ones, other than buy a set and see what turns up. Pfft.

The girl Amy who went to the extra effort of walking into the warehouse and taking a few pictures for me sort of made me feel like they are interested in doing business. If you know what I mean.

These do not work, i am now trying to send them back. Wrong angle, wrong pivot hole size, wrong lever thickness at the bracket connection.

O well:bang head:

Got my levers today. 7 days order to door.

Used this ebay listing

They look really good. I hope to get them installed this weekend.

No, the L45/R51 thing I only mentioned on here, thinking out loud. I saw the numbers and googled them.

I sent her a message saying I had ordered the 4 finger ones, and that they were for an '85. She got it right.

That's no good!
Post pics before you send them back.

One of the pivot holes seems far too big, but there is a bush fitted to the stock levers that has to be changed over to the new ones. Mine were quite tight, if I didn't get it just right they wouldn't go in. I'm sure you know what you are doing though.

Damn I'm still waiting, but on the plus side, after looking at the tracking number, they left California yesterday so it wont be much longer. The roads are starting to get enough dry patches to ride on :biglaugh:

I figured out the pivot hole bushing, it had been a while since i removed these for clean up and new grease. The brake lever might work, the clutch lever will not. The photo shows the difference in thickness at the pivot bolt. I knew something was wrong the second I ordered these. Should have stuck with my gut and canceled the order. I have already ordered the $60 set that you found, we will see if they have any additional sets available.
