looking into getting a sidecar what should I know

I'm looking into getting a sidecar for my vmax, cause well I figured V4 1200cc . . . yea why not. However I lack the knowledge of really anything to do with sidecars. My question is:
1. Is it a good idea
2. is a 2 person asking too much?
3. around how much am I looking?
4. Can I hook it up myself(with the lack of knowledge that is apparent in this post)?
5. What the heck else should I know!

I know a guy in CA who has a 4 passenger side hack, it can be done.

IF you're going to do it properly you should go square on all corners, and front wheel grip/geometry is the most important IMO
