has anyone tried lowering the gen II front forks internally by cutting the spacers? in my parts diagram i only see a top spacer that rides on a spring seat on top off the spring was wandering if cutting this spacer would lower the front??

if anyone's tried it let me know how it worked

gary:ummm:

Usually cutting the spacer is for setting the sag and not for adjusting the ride height of the forks... but I could be wrong.

I think your right Gary, but I have too little experience with forks to say yea or nay for proof positive.
Lowering the the front suspension(damper rod type) height generally requires either sliding the fork up in the triple tree OR by use of a kit that requires forks be disassembled and a spring be added to the damper rod in the lower legs.
