Yay I got my Luv truck back on the road. I had a little mishap with the rearend a few weeks ago and turned it into carnage. I put a new Eaton carrier in it and switched from 342 to 373 gears. I like the gearing a bit better. It is a good happy medium m

Were you hammering on it, or did it just fail underway? I once snapped the pinion gear shaft off flush with the front of the casting of the pumpkin on my 'four-eye' Mustang GT.

I had been hammering on it earlier in the day but was just cruising when this happened. From the looks of it the bolt came loose that holds the big pin that runs thru the spider gears & let that pin drop out after that it was all over !

It is just a Mild 383 Stroker with a Turbo 350 and a 2800 stall & a 12 bolt rear with an Eaton Posi, Strange axles and a 373 Gear . Just a good little street driver
