Mark's exhaust has one of the best sounds ( IMHO ) for a Gen I . You can make them quieter. Linger reduction may require some modifications.

Chop them down and cover half of the resonator tube.

Not a fan of cutting them down , even tho I did just that on a Kerker. Marks has a unique deep growl with a single or dual can outlet. Cut down , it doesn't have that idle lope we love so much. ( IMHO )

We use our own cans on the marks system. They are larger in diameter, longer, and bigger baffled so NOT quieter. Just a lot deeper toned.
