me880 170/80-15 overall width

i've been scouring the net trying to figure out the actual/overall width of the me880 170/80/15. maybe i need to fine tune my searching skills, but the only thing i was able to find was a 2008 post in Motorcycle Forum--not even metzeler's product guide discloses the dimension. the post claims that the 170/80/15's Overall Width is 7.36". this can't be correct because 7.36in = 186.9mm. that would technically make it a 180 tire, no? if it IS incorrect, what is the correct dimension?

????? but it fit fine on my 94..... About a 1/4" to the drive shaft tube...
Their 180 wouldn't fit....

haha i measured a 190 tire once, and it was no where near 190. is it 190 across the curve or straight across as the eye sees it? i have no idea.
