Well.......

I am nowhere NEAR any of those numbers......

But I dropped off my 1985 set of bodywork to the paint shop and said"BLACK.....IT MUST BE BLACK!!!!!!!".......no price was even discussed......

And so it begins..........:sad2:

Some of the best addiction talk I've heard in a while!

Blaine

Hi, my name is Danny....."HI DANNY"!

It all started about three years ago, I was married, had a couple kids and a nice house in northern NY.

I was raking the lawn when I heard a rumble coming down the road...I turned and there was 3 Yamaha V Max's going by at a high rate of speed! :ummm:

I dropped the rake, jumped in my truck and took off after those bikes....I never found them but I did find a '99 V Max in Williamstown, NJ....an '06 in Boston, got some pipes and seats and chrome and paint and......

The family??? I kinda miss them sometimes!! :worthy:

But I did find Monkey Love!! :punk:

Nice story about a guy finding true love, Dan. You're nowhere near ready for rehab! LOL!

My research is showing even more about the Mod Monkeys!! Apparently there is an entire structure to the Mod Monkey religion!!! Here is the structure as my checking has shown it to be, see where you fall:

Mod Monkees: Vendors

High Priests: Spent more than $15k on your Max

Priests: $10-15K

Acolytes: $5-10k

Altar boy: $3-5K

Parishoner: $1-3k

Outsider wanting in: <$1k

As you can see we have more than our share of "Monkey Love" here on the forum..... EMBRACE THE MONKEY!!!!!!

Soooo, does this formula only work on parts bought? Or parts bought and sold...For more parts. How screwed are you when you reach that category?
Its like heroin, I'm pawning my new Hoyt bow for underground parts.
Thank God for some of you on this forum that make great parts cheaper. I kinda prefer to show off things that my friends (brothers) make rather than mainstream stuff that anyone can get.

think if you sell your parts you drop category, shouldn't it work like that???

well monkey still peeking over the fence again, dam guys talking about shift lights, might have to order one now a harlan.......

where you guys wiring them up, any coil or number 1 only???

I wired mine to the exsisting tach connections. Great instructions come with the S/L, It's very easy to set up, I had the hardest time trying to decide where to mount it. I finally had Tom from Cycle One-off adapt his mount to work with the Harlan. The tube size is 1".
The ever loveable mod monkey approved b/c the mount cost more than the S/L!:biglaugh:

True devotees of the Mod Monkey rarely sell their old or spare parts though giving them to a fellow Maxxer in need is quite acceptable. Now should they have to sell parts it will always be to purchase yet more mods for their Max...

EMBRACE THE MONKEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm doomed.
My spare kidney is looking really good right now.
Thinking internal organs as a $$$ source for the mod monkey is a sure of complete infection of the modus monkyitis virus.
Go directly to your favorite vendor and happily puchase more stuff! :punk:

"Paging Mr. Morley, paging Mr. Morley, call on line one from Oregon!"
