hopefully the head of the a/f screw isn't messed up you may have to drill it out

If you look in the hole his desciption is exactly what it looks like wthout the screw.
A tapered hole with a tiny hole at the end.
Put your thumb over the hole and blow air through the jet as the peashooter shows to do.
The order from the hole is o-ring, washer, spring and then screw. Look with a flashlight to be sure.

i am baffled, would it really run this good without a a/f screw?

The a/f screw has a tiny pointed and long tip. It is the smallest adjustment you have. If you look at the size of that hole you will it is tiny. It is the "fine tune" screw.

thanks I really appreciate all the help, I know there isn't a screw in there, I can't see the hole a screw would go into either tho,, I sent dannymax a email, im sure I will get it all sorted out!

If you can get the bike in a position where the sun is shining on the mixture screw hole of that carb, use a magnifying glass to 'pinpoint' the sunlight into the hole....it will light it very brightly and maybe give you a better idea of what's going on.

found the screw!!! so happy....

whoever said mud wasp or whatever was correct,, there was light brown dirt pack into the slot of the screw..

so relived..

this still doesnt answer my mpg question tho, or why my low fuel light doesn't come on < the light works it just doesn't come on when fuel is low > RES switch works fine.

maybe my low mpg is because im in stop and go traffic for 50% of my rides.

anyone have any suggestions about the fuel light?

BTW thanks for everyone's help, man I love this forum! you guys rock!

I never seen anywhere that he could see all the way through and that it looked like a bowl I thought maybe the head of the a/f screw was messed up but turns out a mud dauber made it way in there . No big deal so my question is what happens when a screw backs out and disappears ? I guess I could do an experiment .
