That looks like a larger-than OEM badge. Is it something the prior owner made?

The OEM paint is to my opinion, one of the best-appearing paint schemes for the VMax. The bike has $$$$ on it w/the Dymags and Ohlins suspension. Do you know anything about the engine being 'other than stock?'

The 20th badge is approximately 2-1/2" by 2-1/2". I have no idea if that is correct or not.

As far as the engine being stock, I do know he said he put different cams in it, and adjusted the timing, and frankly that was what caught my attention when I was shopping for another Vmax.

In his Facebook advertisement the seller did a short video walk-around with the engine idling. I could clearly hear the patatoe-patatoe sound emanating from this beast, that sounded much like a big Harley. When he twisted the throttle it no longer sounded like a Harley. It transformed into the meanest sounding Vmax I've ever heard.

After that I started looking at what all this gold was on the bike and that just drew me in further. He told me he replaced the forks with inverted Ohlins, as well as Ohlins rear shocks. When I asked him why he changed out the forks, he said if you have ever tried to ride a stock Vmax aggressively through the twisties, you know why. He then pointed out the triple front radial brakes, the Dymag carbon fiber wheels, the Otec billet aluminum swing arm/shaft housing, and the ISR (Sweden) fully adjustable radial hand controls.

When I bought it from the seller I was thinking if it doesn't run as well as I expect, I can either fix it or part it out for a profit. So, I paid him the $5K we agreed upon, he signed over the title, and I hit the wet freeway for my 45 miles home to my garage, where it sits now.

To say that the bike exceeded my expectations would be a huge understatement, but I'm going to have to get used to the front wheel lifting on hard acceleration (even rolling at speed). Even my Blackbird didn't rise this easily.

Unfortunately, while the tires look aggressive, they are old and hard and slippery. I also discovered that the turn signals did not respond, so I had to rely on hand signals. The 2-LED running and brake light is an under luminated joke. Fortunately, the ISR levers did what they are supposed to, and responded well mechanically. Unfortunately, the electrical switches within them did not. So, I still have some time and money to invest.

Note: Those switches with the red buttons in a couple of photos did not come with the bike when I bought it. They are just cheap plastic generic switch clusters I purchased off ebay, to see if I can get the signal lights to respond. I would much prefer the stock switch clusters if I can find some? Any leads would be most appreciated. Also, if anyone has any knowledge or information about these ISR billet aluminum radial levers, I would be most interested.
