Hey everyone---
If I take the baffle out of the stock Vmax exhaust, does that get you to the outer wall of the muffler? Reason I ask is because the previous owner put a dent in it---want to get in there and punch it out best I can.

Thanks,
Jeff

You're not going to get it apart without destroying it. You just need to get another set of mufflers. I probably have a decent set around here but they are heavy and expensive to ship.

dang, I really want that dent out--bugs the heck out of me--I am too picky about stuff I guess.

Ive used a propane torch to get dents out before.. Just have to be careful with it so as to not damage the finish.

Get it good and hot, and put ice on it, or cold water. Used to do it on body panels after welding patches on. Metal stretches when it gets dented, can't shrink it. But the heat and cold makes it contract a little. Worth a shot. Just watch the finish, it could burn.
