I drilled my air box lid today & put some bad ass spikes on it ! .. It was hard to drill through , I had to go very slow , there is a seam underneath , it looks like the air box cover is made of two halves , fused together ! THERS MORE PICTURES WITH IT ON THE BIKE ON POST # 8

It is two halves that are fused together. The factory doesn't even smooth the seam out well most of the time. Looks like you won't be drag racing that one anytime soon.

Wow...I can see myself coming down from a wheelie tearing my sack off:biglaugh:
Looks good Tim...Just watch them holeshots

Wheelie's would also be ill-advised....that would turn a "tank slapper" from an annoyance into a trip to the ER.

Looks sweet, though from a safety perspective I'm not sure it's such a great idea. Would you install spikes on the steering wheel of your car?

LOL...WOW! :punk: No sudden stops there Tim, we'd hate to see the thread you would post after that buddy! :stretche:

I have to say that looks wicked Tim!
No more tucked in high speed runs now as one good bump will give the thoracic surgeon a head start on cracking your chest open. Maybe a new airway too!
Be careful man!

I think it looks pretty cool. The best part is that you can stick up to seven individual items on there ie. PB&J sandwiches , chicken legs , apples etc for those long rides. That way you don't have to stop for food... LOL

pictures with it on the bike !

Looks pretty sweet. You got a name for that bike yet? Maybe you should call it Spike. :biglaugh:

Wonder if you can make them spring loaded so they would recess or collapse in if needed?
