Out and about today to get MOT (annual test to allow you on the road).

And next door to the dealer is the future (electric motorcycles)

Once the test was done, i couldn't get it to start. Pressing starter nothing. Switch reserve on, off, nothing. Headlamp on but no oil or neutral lights. Hmm battery's died or a blown fuse. Got the fake tank off, checked fuses, all good. Just about to go into the shop when it occurred that it's in gear, hence no neutral light DOH!!! and no starty. Put it in neutral and bingo.

Never occurred to me that bike would have been left in gear, I've never done that but I suppose that is an aid to stop it rolling away, so maybe not that bad an idea.

Plenty of damaged bikes where it rolled-away not being left in-gear, especially facing downhill. Get in the habit: left in gear for parking, and switch your reserve switch to 'main tank' before you open your fuel filler at the petrol station.

Just bought this 2000 lovely. The previous owner had all the original lights and wot not so I'll get them back on. Forward controls to go on and I'm getting the saddle scooped out (cause I'm a short arse). Looking forward to next season. I've been riding a 2015 Suzuki M800 Intruder (for long trips).View attachment 80296
Right on Buddy She is looking Lean and Mean with Kind of F---K You Class.

Love it

What area you in?
He's actually 1999, imported 2000 from Canada. We're in Northern Ireland. Out and about recently, getting acquainted, loving it. We now have 2 x Intruders, a Valkerie and my Vmax lol No more room in the shed! The weathers crap here so opportunity to get out are few. Forward controls are good, seat still isnt quite right. I'm sliding back all the time. It's can be sorted though I think.
