My old differential

My deferential now has 9 years & 84,000 miles on it.Just changed the gear oil & it still
operates fine. I'm starting to worry with all the miles though.Anybody know how long these things will last.:ummm: Thanks Rusty:biglaugh:

That's a good question Rusty....I can't remember the last time I heard of a final drive failure. Seems like they last forever.

They typically break on the pinion nut as the main failure besides a worn seal on occasion. The later model diffs had thicker pinion stud so yours should last as long as you want it to.
