No doubt this will involve another carb cleaning or diaphram fix, but what causes fuel to puddle on top of the throttle plate? I'm guessing something to do with the slide as if I push the slide in, it will create a small puddle.

Clogged purge jet is a possibility too.

Re: New carb problem - UPDATE

OK, in this fine out of focus picture, as soon as I turn on the bike for the fuel pump to run I get fuel coming out of the hole where the arrow is. I'm not sure of what that hole is for, but I'm guessing this might be a float issue?

Buster, that's the main air jet. If fuel's coming out of there, stuck float. Tap lightly with rubber mallet and see if that helps. Otherwise, need to break open that bowl to see what's up.

Hmm, I posted an update saying I fixed the problem, don't know what happened to it. Now the only issue is on another carb I have a slight weepage of fuel coming out where the needle from the slide goes into the carb. It is the red arrow are in the picture.

Could be a float problem or something with the jet block. That's the needle jet and goes to inside the float bowl.

so give us an update on your bike buster...is she running again? i thought your engine was shot!

Either your fuel inlet needle is stuck open, or you have a clogged vent line (maybe a spider found a home?).

Vmaxman99, you are a genius, you just solve my problem of fuel coming out of the main air jet. Sure enough, a mud dobber had built a nest in Both vent lines, so gas could not fill the bowls. I wish I would have seen your post many frustrated hours, and 2 needle jet purchases ago. Thanks you Sir!
