Thank you very much for the information. When I bought the bike, I completely dismantled it to restore it and I downloaded the manual (since I had never dismantled a Vmax before), I don't remember which website I downloaded it from, it could have been this one, hahaha

Unfortunately the 1985-up shop manual featured in other posts in threads, may no-longer be available from that internet address. The one I just posted how to get, does work, currently and at no cost. If you have an older bike, like the '85-'89 models, which have the two ignition pick-up coils instead of the '90-'07 bikes, which have a single pick-up coil, then you need to be able to access info for that system. In the same way, the '85-'92 bikes have smaller forks, sliders, front fender mount/fork brace (the front & rear fenders are the same for all years) and downtubes, and smaller front brake rotors and single opposed pistons for the front brakes. However, you can swap an entire 1993+ front end onto a 1985-'92 bike. The brake and clutch lever assemblies are the same whether you have the early ('85-'92) bike or the '93+ bike.
