hi guys, new to this forum,and i have the same problem as many others ,have a 97 v-max ,and , have lost 4th and 5th ! if this is segment where in the uk can i buy updated version?

The best place, without wishing to state the blee*in' obvious, would be your local dealer.
If you live in the middle of a desert, half way up a mountain or in Cumbria, try either Fowlers or Granby's.

Some of the parts wallah's can be quite anal about getting a VIN number - don't give them the one for your bike as you will get the earlier segment.

What you need is are the following from later bikes:

Segment 4NK-18185-00-00 x 1
Dowel pins 93604-12037-00 x 5

The following haven't changed:

Dowel 93603-10049-00 x 1
Stopper plate 4NK-18141-00-00

job done ,and was stunned just how easy it was ,dont be afraid to tackle this ,as ,if i can do it anyone can! thanks for all the great advice,can i just add all is much easier if you lube everything with clean engine oil ..
