Hey KJ were did you get the scoop screens ?

They are stock, I took them out and dissasembled them. Then I painted the screens and the allen heads using that chrome looking bumper paint.

Re-assemble and voila! I thought they turned out pretty cool.

hey kj this t-boost is great, does it suck the gas.

Not really, you will notice it drinking more if you like to use the 3k opening feature.

I just use the stock 6k and off, so only a little better in mileage when I'm on the highway and the Vboost is turned off.

found a switch at radio shack, plus got a message back from thomas at quality parts online

it is definitely a SPDT on-off-on switch. wired everything back up and looked at the max. it's at a buddy's house and its 9:30 so i didn't want to wake everyone up. will try firing her up later this week to ensure its working right.

i had to turn the switch sideways to make it work right with the throttle body tube (and turn that a bit too) to use my existing hole.

i think the switch i got was 10x better than the one it came with too. the threads are all metal, not plastic like on the original. less likely to break it seems...

sweet, glad you have it all back together.

and I'm impressed, you actually said you turned something sideways to use an existing hole and kept a straight face :rofl_200:

Lemme know if your milage goes up on the highway with the Vboost off as well. :punk:

me too man... sometimes the simplest **** goes wrong. thanks for the help with the switching terminology. hadn't soldered since high school so that was a bit of a challenge but i made it work..

will do. its going to be a couple months until i get accurate readings tho. I will post back

thanks again kj

why would not mount the switch on top of the left scoop, i think that would be a good spot.

Alot of ppl don't want to drill the scoop. I've seen gauges mounted on top of the scoop that looked pretty trick.

thats definitely me... it would probably be much easier and less to run into mounting it there but i chose not to for a few reasons:

1. the plastic is much easier to fix if i **** it up
2. the plastic is much cheaper to replace if i **** it up
3. the plastic could easily be changed to a different hole for a different switch later on if i wanted.
4. i like the look better. don't want the switch being intrusive...

I first mounted the switch on the front of the gauge housing. I then replaced that switch with a fan switch and moved the tboost switch up on top of the left handlebar switch housing. Now I can flip the switch without removing my hand from the bars.

i was contemplating that as well.. but i don't see myself using that switch all that much...

That is a good place, I'm moving the nitrous arming switch to my hand controls.

i like this spot.

i respectively disagree..

anyways finally was able to fire up the bike tonight (fired right up!!) and it ran fine and had a buddy checking the servo motor and t-boost works as she should! too bad i really can't ride for another month...

o well..
