lol of course the fastest. I love my 06 I did have a head shake in mine, the front tire is always the problem. When ever the tread gets cupped it will shake. I did the furber fix(for steering) and it helped. It does not seem to be a popular fix on here but I did it before I showed up lol. My bike handles just great how it is. there is a little flexing around in some tight corners but I am used to it I guess . I also dont ride slow. You will love your bike have fun ,get used to it before you turn pro...

Thanks for the welcome guys! Only a few more days until I go get it. Cant wait to take it for a ride.

Hey all, just wanted to introduce myself. I just bought a 2006 Vmax about 250 miles away (its in Rapid City SD, the area where the big sturgis motor cycle rally is every year). Anyways, I have been wanting to get a max pretty bad for about 3 years now so needless to say I will be excited to go and pick it up on the 24th this month. It has 5,000 miles on it, SuperTrapp slip ons, engine guards, and a small smoke windscreen, its stock other than that. What do you guys suggest for modifications? I am mostly looking to make the bike as reliable as possible and i'd like to get it to handle a little better. I am hoping it doesnt have too much of a headshake like I have been reading about on here! I have about 10 years expierence riding dirtbikes but this is my first streetbike. I think my 400hp car will not seem as quick after riding the max though! Thanks for having me, I'm hoping to learn a lot about these bikes.

I have a 400hp car as well and it's a blast to drive, but it's not as fast as the bike.

Well guys, I picked her up yesterday. I gotta say I love the bike and I am really glad I bought it. Pics to come soon!

Hey guys, sorry no picture yet. I rode it for about 90 miles today. Love the bike. Its about 90 degrees here today and I was starting to get a little worried the fan wasnt going to kick on. The temp gauge was getting close to the red and right as I was about to stop it kicked on and that took care of it. I will deffinately be looking in to a switch or a way to keep it automatic but have it come on sooner. I ran it up to about 115 and not a hint of shake or wobble anywhere. Everything on it works great so you could say I'm a pretty happy camper.

congrats man, welcome aboard, i hope you hid your wallet cause im sure the monkey has got a hold of it by now ahhahaha watch out it doesnt take long......

you might like the look of a metz 170 rear tire, plus good excuse to burn off the old one:punk:
