Newbie Tire Opinion Wanted

First, let me say that I have read the newbie FAQ post thoroughly. Lots of great info in that article. That article leaned towards Shinkos or Michelins. I would like a set of Dunlop Qualifiers strictly for the retro look of raised white letters. The Dunlops don't seem to be a very popular choice. I am an easy rider, too old for burnouts and crazy stuff. Doesnt look like Metzler makes a front and rear set for the bike. My main goal is improved handling. I came off a Honda Hornet and the VMax is not in that league. Please recommend a better handling set of tires. Thanks

Someone told me qualifiers are being discontinued.
Anyone else hear that?
