What did you do? Description and pictures if you have them. I've seen Ryan's mount under the seat where the coils used to be. Has anyone used a mounting plate and bolted it in the stock location?

I've done it to my 88. I can post a picture of it in the morning for you. It's mounted on the vertical part of the frame behind the motor.

Used to have mine bolted to underneath the swingarm but have since moved it to scoop
Ah yes, behind the L scoop! That's an option I had forgot about. I'm pretty sure I would have to run to town to extend the stator wire though.
I'll have to wait to see what Buster's location looks like since that would be doable with wire I have. Thanks!

View attachment 42436A definite upgrade that finally ended my stubborn H.I.D. headlight off/on flicker problem. With the mosfit I have the steady output the H.I.D. requires to run that set-up. I burned the stock one when I installed a Shorai Lithium battery. That began my regulator hunt. I now run all L.E.D. blinkers/tail/running light combo and H.I.D headlight , all can be on, and the cooling fan with 13.8 on the mutimeter revved or idle actually slightly higher at idle. I mounted it under the tank on the center stand crossmember along with the alarm system. The pics show the first one up to the correct mosfit reg/rectifier. I used a trailer connector from NAPA, 3male,one female type to extend the wiring and keep things clean, plenty of dielectric and RTV to seal out water and oxidization.FH001 is the one that does the trick. Sorry I can't seem to get the pics in order, the last one is the to date pic of the mosfit FH001. The first are the R&D of the SH650A-12, too much output fluctuation in output for H.I.D.s

Thanks for the pictures and explanation. I am also using LED tail lights, turn signals and have a Yamaha Rhino700 FH012AA R/R that I picked up for $45.
