The Saints of today are known for their explosive offense. But there was a time when our #1 point scorer was Morten Anderson. He was an awesome FG kicker. The Saints let him go and the Falcons(our rival) picked him up. The day they announced signing Morten I proclaimed "Bet you he kicks a winning field goal against the Saints the next time they meet."

Sure 'nuff -- he did.

My Spidey sense tells Welker has a big game vs the Pats in Week 12.

Damn Saints had to give me a heart attack on week 1, but glad they beat the Falcons. That rivalry goes a long way back, and they always play close. Great game. Glad to see the Saints have a decent defense.

Should be a good close game tonight. Glad we are playing the Dolphins at home!

I think the saints will pull this one out with their defense,
Tannehill has been sacked 14 times this season and I think the saints will be adding to that number. hope Brees puts up some big numbers , should be a good game for sure

Big win tonight. I'd like to see more success running the ball, but then again I also like seeing our Hall of Fame QB throw a lot too! :D

Never could understand why they let Welker go. Bet Brady wasn't in on that decision! :confused2:

Welker hates Bellicheck and visa versa. Denver was lucky to get Wes. No way Wes wanted to stay in NE. Right about now, I wouldn't mind having Wes back. Though his replacement Edelman was tied for receptions in the NFL,as of last sunday. But, a healthy Amendola is just as good a receiver if not better. Welker did blow some very clutch catches here over the years. Brady and a better D, than in a few years, has us at 4-0. That's with 4 of our top starters out. All excellant receivers. Three should be back soon, the other is in a heap of trouble and isn't ever coming back. Of course our top lineman is out for the year now-Wilfork.The Patriot haters must be jumping for joy. I hope the Pat's meet Denver in the AFC Championship game, and Wes drops the big one against us!

Weren't Welker and Amendola both products of Leach's air show at Texas Tech? Leach's teams at Tech were sure entertaining...

I'm liking the way this season is turning out so far. Particularly the fact that all the "experts" at the various sports shows still don't take the Saints seriously. Most of them predicted the Bears to beat the Saints. And since they all got man love for Brady, I'm sure they will all pick the Pats when the Saints come to town. Can't say I really blame them on that pick though.

The last time the "experts" overlooked the Saints like this was 2010... when the Saints went to the Superbowl. And since Peyton is determined to make it to the playoffs -- who knows -- we could potentially see another Superbowl showdown between Peyton and Brees again.

Wow... Rams phone Favre to come back and be their quarterback! :surprise: Is there not a recently cut QB they can use?

If it wasn't for bad luck! Gronkowski out for the season?, along with Wilfork, Mayo, &
Kelly. Hernandez lost forever and in jail. That's 5 potential, or former, pro bowlers.
At 10-3 Bellichick deserves coach of the year. The number two seed is in reach if everyone steps up. But, how much can a team overcome?

I saw Gronk get hurt but didn't know he is now out for the season. Ya, Belichick is pretty magic with no matter what he has for talent, as long as Brady is in there. You figure Gronk was out for the first 4 or 5 games of the season and they were still winning so who knows.

It's looking like Gronk could miss a few games at the start of next season. Torn ACL and more. N.E. is going to have to step up big on defense to go anywhere this year. This week at Miami is big. It's a must win for the Dolphins. If N.E. doesn't play a full 60 minutes?

This is true. And it seems the first half they can't do anything and then play catch up for the second half.

N.E. has found a new running attach to go along with Brady and Co. Lagarrett Blount ran for
189 yards and totaled +300 against Buffalo by himself. He ran over the Ravens the week before. I don't know if you've herd of him because Tampa Bay had him on the bench since drafting Doug Martin. We traded a receiver that had a total of 4 kick returns this year, Jeff Demps. Sean Vareen and Stephen Ridley are also lighting it up. I'm thinking the Bengals will be here in two weeks. Now that will be a great game. Winner goin g to Denver most likely. Just to be in it now is a credit to a team decimmated by injuries on both sides of the ball.
