93 VMax - I was getting low voltage while running, specifically as rpm’s went up. Replaced regulator, but when I was reconnecting the battery my ratchet extension accidentally touched the frame and I experienced sparking/arching. I was pretty pissed at myself and the battery seemed to be fried. Got a new battery and now the bike turns over well but I lost spark. Fuses are fine. Where should I start? Thanks for the help!

Ok sounds like a dumb question, but how do you know that you lost spark? Did you check the spark to see if you could get anything from the boot to the spark plug itself? Some people have said they have lost spark.....without checking.

I took spark plug out and put back into boot and held it against frame and turned it over. No spark. Spark plug was initially set with fuel.

If the new regulator was problem…would that cause no spark or no?
And the side stand switch, if I unplug the wire going to it…that will bypass it?

No, the regulator/rectifier is just to charge the battery.

I don't think it's a side stand switch issue. It wouldn't turn over if that was causing no spark. It's probably the ignitor or p/u coil.
