Normal oil pressure at idle?

According to my setup, I'm about 60-65 on cold start up, and 10 on hot idle.

The water temp is electrical and the oil pressure is mechanical.

Just checked the ufo new rotella 15-40. 35 lbs start up. Dropped to 11 psi hot. My bypass must be set lower than my stock 85..

I use Rotella also--15W40.

It's not ZERO, but damn near, couple pounds or so, it varies. These things have very little o/p at idle. .

I bet its your gauge.

I'm running Valvoline 10/40, I'm betting startup temp has alot to do with it too. It was 40deg when I went to classes this morning. The garage was about 50.

When it was below 0 this spring Oil pressure was nice and even and measured about the same, but the bike's temp guage barely moved :rofl_200: I wonder why.
