Oil plug stripped

I stripped the oil drain plug today. Do you think I can heli coil it or should I get a new pan?

I'd replace the pan unless you already have the Heli-coil and tool.

Had that happen at the end of last season. Ended up replacing the oil pan.

If you do, it's a good time to check the oring around the main oil pipe.

Used pans are pretty cheap. But, being a notorious cheapskate, I'd maybe pull the pan, check the o ring, then fix the threads when the pan is easier to work on. It couldn't be too expensive to take the pan somewhere to have it done, if you can't or don't want to do it yourself..
