For whatever coincidence the worst engines we've ever taken apart had those carbs on them! We've used them before when customers requested them but also taken them off when customers got tired of crappy economy, and wanted to quit smelling like fuel when they got off the bike.

Sean- when you say "worst" engines are you referring to internal engine wear? Lack of air cleaners?

I would tell him to throw in the stock carbs and $4000. If he says no move onto the next bike. There are plenty floating around just as nice. Call his bluff. It's not a really good time to buy a bike right now. If he doesn't have the stock carbs offer him $3600 so you can buy a set from Sean or someone else on the forum. Just my 2cents. Good luck buddy. Not cylinder wash. **** I think was getting into the engine, causing the piston to bind and then extreme bottom end failure. Could be simply related to owners that put on parts like this just simply running the bike harder.

The first one I came across with these carbs had an engine fail shortly after riding around at bike week in Daytona. I think he pulled in some sand while cruising the strip.

The price isn't bad and the carbs can be easily traded or sold to get a stock set of carbs. They are some of the neatest of the carbs for appearance just because of how they are located.

I do have a couple of bikes available though they aren't in premo cosmetic condition (we can make them that way depending on price).

I'd tell him you'll give him $3400 for it, when he gets pissed then tell him "now you understand how I feel" if he comes back down to $4000 then buy it but if he tries to screw you around then tell him "good luck selling a motorcycle in the winter *******" when people piss me off like that I have a hard time dealing with them even if its a good deal. Just my $.02

Winter to me means buyers market offer less let him him decide yes or no . There's alot more out there you just need to find the right deal for you

The two I have are $2000 and $2500. Leaves a lot of room for custom parts or to make it your own. Problem complicates for cost to get the bikes to you though.
