Metzler lists an ME880 180/70B 15 rear. H rated. I don't know anything about it though.

I wouldn't go anything wider then a 170 on the stock rim. It won't give you the wider look you desire, the middle will just bow up higher...causing less tread touching the ground. Hard enough keeping traction as it is.

I'm not a tire expert....but I did stay in a Holiday Inn last night.:biglaugh:

The 180 fits and is shorter profile for quicker acceleration. HOWEVER, the handling is complete **** with it. The profile is so distorted the bike had to be really worked to make it go where you wanted it to.

i like my 170 shinko.
soft tires hook up instead of spin. but don't get me wrong it will break loose.
so far 3,000 miles and a few good burnouts. and still looking good.
