I currently have the 42.5 pilots in my 1300 and I am going back to a 40. I am way down to half a turn on the screws to get it to idel at about 12 on the AFG. I have the needles dropped down as far as I can get them to get the mid range lean enough. IMO the 42.5 in my setup causes a mismatch that cant be tuned. I do have the float level a tad high cause this thing wants gas on WOT. Believe me I have tried every combination and size jet in these carbs and I wouldnt use the 42.5.
