A pic just for FUN.:biglaugh: About 10 years ago I ran this 28 essex at the drag strip. It ran 12.5 on the motor "383 stroker" and 11.3 on the juice. This day was not a good one. My fuell pressure droped from 7lbs to 3lbs. We all know what happens when a lean gas problem occures...booom!

the rup runs 28mph with no gov.
An essex was much the same as ford or chev. They were much sturdier and better built, but under powered.Allot of the farmers choped the cars up and made trucks out of them back in the 1930"s ,.During the depression there was gas rationing, only farm trucks could get fuell. You can easliy spot an Essex..the doors open backwards.
