Nothing that intuitive and simple can work where govt is involved. I just read that Obama is taking steps to protect his executive orders from reversal by by the next POTUS. I'm not worried about Hillary taking office as I still do not believe its a possibility but any democratic leader could bury this whole own your own guns thing in the dirt after the significant damage Obama has done and will likely continue to do.

Passing legislation is one thing, finding LEO to enforce it may be a little more difficult. Take a look at our esteemed guv Blomo and his safe act.....many law enforcement agencies, including a statement released by the Sheriff's Assoc. of NY, stated publicly they would not enforce it.

Bottom line, most gun owners are not going to voluntarily surrender their weapons and it may prove a little problematic finding someone willing to start knocking on doors.
