Did the first gulf war. Didn't stick around for the second.

No reflective vest required during that time...thankfully. However they did have restrictions on long sleeves/pants and hard soled shoes.

Thats actually footage of a low pass done by me early this year with USAF A-10s from Spangdhalem (now extint), that one got the chief of staff ordering a disciplinary investigation against me but well, im a pilot so i know what im doing (most of times at least) so nothing to point but just a grudge by not being able to hammer me... :biglaugh::eusa_dance:

Yah, you pilots used to fly map of the earth for a couple of hours before we could jump out. By the time we got over the DZ, nobody could wait to get their *** out the door.:biglaugh:

USN 93-95 I was on LHA-2 Siapan and my rate was Aviation Boatswain's Mate fuler, say that three times fast. I was in between wars. I did one med. cruise and some time in the ship yards and had a great time and met some great people. They offered a two year enlistment back then. Well two years active and six years reserve.

Its actually "nap of the earth". In this same exercise we had a mission to deploy a platoon of 60 commandos to a FOB (forward operating base) in which we did a low level contour navigation and then a max effort landing at that short field. When we lowered the ramp for the ERO (engine running offload) they were all "dead" with about 50 barf bags scattered all over the aircraft floor and some more content in which no barf bag was able to be used in a timely manner... The loadmasters weren't pleased, nor the firemen back at base... they had to use a a fire hose to wash the plane on the inside... LOL
