Quality isn't cheap, it's about 100$ steps from 12s, to 430s to 444. And nowadays what's a 100 bucks?.
Money is really not the main factor. I was never really pleased with the look of the 412's. Which is why I never pulled the trigger on putting a set on. Plus I've been hemming and hawing over chrome or black for years.
I actually like the way the 444's look on the vmax. And that's why I decided to stop thinking about it and just do it.

Also, do you know weather you got the standard weight spring or the heavy?
Sorry about not replying sooner. I actually don't know. They were actually in a bunch of parts that I bought. The original owner probably bought the heavy spring because he specd out a lot of stuff, and he was about 240 lbs. They have always felt very good whether it's me, or me and the wife. I'm right at 200.

You will like them. Congrats on pulling the trigger.

New 444's are on.
Went for a quick test ride only about 6 miles.
Intentionally aimed for all the pot holes I could find.
Bumps don't slam like the old shocks.
And these new 444 didn't bottom out.
So I'm one happy little dude.
Feels like she rides 10 times better. But I think that's more to the fact that I just put on brand new Metzlers. 1000000781.jpg1000000782.jpg1000000783.jpg1000000784.jpg
