puter?help

I am not a computer person.It does up dates automatically,Anyway it done it's updates as I guess it should,I went on the forum and it would not show picts that others had posted ,And is doing all kinds of crap.I did 2 restores and now have done a recovery off hp website and a windows backup disc that I found .It is hanging on,But wont download the wife's info for her work.Said to download adobe,Which one?Wont play any games on pogo,Pops up and sais something not right!And sais to download java!Again which one?I searched and found the recovery discs that I made 2 years ago,along with the windows backup which is a update disc.Should I try the recovery on the 3 disc And then do the update disc,Or give up a take It to a computer repair shop.I know some of you guy's are great at this stuff.And I have to keep re signing in here anytime I try to see a post after a couple of minutes.I have Norton It went batty and had to get with them for a reload.That's fixed,Suggestions? help.Should I do the recovery on the disc and then the windows update.Thank you for the input no matter how it goes.Poppop.

I had to get the IT guy in here, and it has taken nearly 4 hrs to get back into my comfy spot with all my programs working and music playing. IT said our problems were caused by some auto-updates overnight from Microsoft. The rest is way over my head.

I had to get the IT guy in here, and it has taken nearly 4 hrs to get back into my comfy spot with all my programs working and music playing. IT said our problems were caused by some auto-updates overnight from Microsoft. The rest is way over my head.

I bevieve the updates are what caused all this.I not helping any by downloading java this or adobe that.

I believe the updates is where this all got started ,I had this computer for 2 years ,Never seen it shut down three mornings straight,Course it is not helping me downloading every from of java and adobe on the site

it could as simple as just having to clean out your browser history.And now it's running like it should,Quite a bit faster,Scared of it Been fighting this thing for over a week.It just cant be this simple can it ?Slack poppop.Thank you guys.Great on cars trucks 30+ years in that,Computers,Im sorry.Gonna keep a eye on it Hope they don't load it with updates again .Thank you all.

You probably downloaded that picture of Dennis on the stripper pole and got a virus.... Burn the computer.....

You can avoid downloading flash player altogether by using chrome instead for your primary browser, additionally it updates consistently (without pesky popups) leaving you less open to security vulnerabilities due to ignored updates.

If you are still having trouble I am IT geek through and through and would be happy to walk you through any questions you may have or log in to your machine and support it remotely. I come to you guys for Vmax knowledge its only fair I return the favor with my strong suit

Those are the links to Newest versions of the players available for your OS directly from the developers sites.

You really need to list your Operating System and the exact Browser version you use if you need more help with this.

Wish I could help terry. I'm pretty helpless with computers.
My son is having issues with his. Its doing some odd things the past couple days and now it has a 1" bar all across the bottom of the screen that's discolored. Running slow, and doing odd ****.

I'm trying a restore back to 10 days ago and hoping it helps! If not, I'm clueless.

Tex thank you so very much,You are one hellauva good guy,Paid hp once or twice to do it remotely on one of my old xps,never did work right ,Turned out the hard drive was gone,puter told me breathing it's last breath.All kinds of guy's here with all kinds of talent,Thank you tex,Hope I don't have to bother you.Wish I had learned a lil more about putters.Bless all you guy's .

Got on line this morning ,It had the same thing,Press any key to restart,Up loaded for about a minute,Did my password and off it went.Games not working again.Operating system is windows 7 home premium.The browser is internet explorer,Sais it is the default browser.Nothing else is affected that I can tell.Can live without the games.But it is how it got started the first time.Fix?Yes ,no,

^ I would re-install Adobe Flash and Java again then immediately shutdown and wait 5 seconds then reboot and see if they are still working.
Also what exact version of IE are you using ??
