I am kind of a car mechanic., specializing in engine repairs. Every time I remove pistons, I see stuck rings. EVERY TIME!!! So I have to get some hook or flat screwdriver and start digging them out. If engine doesn't smoke, rings are most likely in some semi- or almost stuck condition. I use ATF to flush bike and car engines. I never repaired bike engines. I got a bike awhile ago with sticky clutch, fixed it in 3 min., guess how.
