Forgive me if this has been posted here already. I'm not good in the search mode, if any. I am currently at my Winter home in southwest Florida, so my snail mail is slow to get to me.
I own a '09 2nd Generation Vmax and I just received a recall on it. It states that, according to my VIN, my Vmax might have a defective oil pump and that I should not ride it until a dealer takes a look at it.
Has anyone owning a 2nd Gen. Vmax gotten a recal on theirs? Did you need a new oil pump installed? What was your experience with this? Does the dealer change the oil pump and how can they determine if one is bad?
Thanks so much in your reply.
