Removed factory backrest

Hey all! Just picked up an '89 vmax over the weekend.... Wasn't a fan of the look of the passenger backrest so I removed it n was wondering if anyone makes a grab bar type deal that'll slide into the bracket that the backrest was in?

Yeah they come standard like that so there's plenty floating around for $75-100. You can sell your backrest for 2-3 times that much depending on condition

Does it use the same bracket that connects to the fender or would I have to pull that off n swap? I'd be willing to trade the backrest for a grab bar n some dollar bills

They're direct swaps and I'm sure there are people here who would take you up on that. If that's the case I'd post some pics of your backrest to get a better gage of how much more your rest is worth.
